This ice cream shop at the base of the Rathaus has a great menu including after dinner drinks, coffees, teas, etc. and pizza & panini.Menu is in German but easy enough to manage. The wait staff speak and understand enough English to get buy. The prices are inexpensive. Their kinder (child) menu is cute and their other creations are presented well. I always order chocolate wherever I go and unfortunately I do not enjoy their chocolate. It tastes too artificial.This Eiscafe is in the center of town. You'll have to walk (about 3-5 minutes) on a bumpy brick road. Shops and restaurants line this area on both sides. It's charming. Wir sind zu zweit an einem Freitagabend vor unserem Kinobesuch hier gewesen. Das kleine Eiscafé liegt direkt neben dem Kinokomplex und auf dem großen Parkplatz kann man bequem das Auto abstellen. Das Wetter war super, es war recht viel los, und man konnte sehr schön auf der kleinen Terrasse sitzen. Ok, der Ausblick ist nicht ganz so schön, man guckt auf den Parkplatz, und außer den Kinobesuchern gibt es nicht viel zu sehen. Tische und Stühle sind eher einfach und zweckmäßig. Die Karte klebte total, bot aber eine gute Auswahl verschiedener Eisbecher. Der Herr im Service war freundlich, fast schon ein wenig zu locker. Bei unserem nächsten abendlichen Besuch hier haben wir wieder einen sehr schönen Sommerabend erwischt. Fast alle Tische draußen waren besetzt. Wir bestellten drei Eisbecher. Nach kurzer Wartezeit wurden der Amarena- und der Schokobecher gebracht, vom Camparibecher fehlte jede Spur. Nachdem die anderen Eisbecher fast aufgegessen waren, kam dann auch der Camparibecher, den hatte man wohl zuerst vergessen. Vielleicht wollte man uns nur etwas Gutes tun, aber das Glas war zu 80% mit Alkohol gefüllt. Das war etwas viel des Guten, schmeckte reichlich spritig. Danach kann man bestimmt kein Auto mehr fahren. Der Mann im Service war gewohnt entspannt drauf. Für Elmshorn ganz nett.
