El Caporal Mexican Grill

We ate her on Sun. 8/14/22. We are from UT and were visiting our daughter and her family. I have Celiac so we of course had to look up and call many restaurants that could accommodate Gluten Free food. This restaurant does not as of yet, have a “GlutenFree” or “ Gluten Friendly” menu but the manager (I assume he was the manager, server 0006) was extremely accommodatingand made sure the kitchen took precautions to make me a plate without gluten products. The food was Delicious and I had zeroissues! The one thing I was disappointed with is I could not eat the chips and salsa as the chips are deep fried in a vat withother products that contain gluten so I ordered a side salad to start. My only disappointment was that I couldn't indulge in the chips and salsa, as the chips are deep-fried in oil shared with gluten-containing items. Instead, I chose a side salad to start. Thank you for your efforts in providing a wonderful meal! My daughter's family, who have been living in Ohio for five months, remarked that this was not only the best Mexican food they have ever had but also the best meal they’ve experienced since moving there, despite trying many other restaurants. They live about 40 miles from El Caporal but are excited to come back for another visit. Kudos to the chefs! This restaurant is sure to impress. It used to be our favorite Mexican spot when we lived in Mason. After moving to Minnesota ten years ago, we finally made a return visit and were pleased to find that they still serve fantastic food and have excellent staff. There's usually no wait to be seated, and the service is prompt with drinks, taking orders, and serving the food. They also offer an endless supply of chips and salsa. With both indoor and outdoor dining options and great prices for generous portions, it's definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant will not disappoint. This was our regular ‘go to’ Mexican restaurant when we lived in Mason. We moved to Minnesota ten years ago and finally returned to find they still have great food and staff. Rarely have to wait to be seated andaway prompt with drinks, ordering, and bringing out the food. Endless supply of chips and salsa to be had. I would not recommend this restaurant. The food and menu are overpriced! The customer service, especially at the bar, is poor. This place has a lot of flashy elements, but it didn't leave a good impression on me. I won't be returning, nor will I recommend it to others; we'll take our money elsewhere. The food here makes me wonder who actually enjoys this. Try the Grilled Chicken and see if you really think it's good. Every entrée seems to lack a key component. In this particular order, I received three tacos made with the wrong meat and no toppings. The fajitas arrived without any tortillas, and the two $10 cheese quesadillas were just a few strips of melted cheese inside. It's honestly a joke.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in the area! I dined in for dinner, and the price per person was between $10 and $20. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5 out of 5.
