El Chato Bogota - Reservar una mesa

This place is awesome! It's tucked away on a side street off of Carrera 11, safely removed from the Zona G, Zona T, Parque 93 crowds. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. The house cocktails are inventive. The service is friendly and professional. The food proves that we Colombians are capable of creating a cuisine that is as tasty and as inventive as one could find in the great culinary capitals of the world. What I especially appreciate about El Chato is the appreciation for and enhancement of traditional dishes. Their chicken for two is quite possibly the best chicken I have ever tasted.

Creo que El Chato tiene el uso más creativo de ingredientes locales de cualquier restaurante de alta gama en Bogotá. Platos como el chontaduro o la sopa de maíz, aunque suenan simples, son reconfortantes e inspirados. El tartare es el mejor que he probado en este continente y los platos principales, probamos cordero y cerdo, estaban muy bien cocinados. El postre de 4 leches fue increíble y mi novia quedó encantada con el Merengón de guanábana. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.

Una experiencia maravillosa en una zona agradable y segura, decoración moderna, ambiente agradable, servicio amigable y una comida muy original y sabrosa, ¡vale una estrella Michelin si el restaurante estuviera en París! ¡Altamente recomendado, servicio perfecto, un gran lugar para una cena romántica, por lo general no me importa el postre pero estoy contento de haber pedido la mousse de chocolate.. ¡excepcional!

This area between Zona G and Chapinero Alto is really getting some great restaurants! We had an excellent dinner here. I especially enjoyed the lamb, which is difficult to find in Bogota and was perfectly prepared just as I had requested. My friend loved his fish dish too. Nice cocktails, atmospheric interior and good service. Two thumbs up! We each paid about 60,000 (US$20) for a cocktail, main dish plus tip.

Chato recently opened up in the upcoming trendy food district with a more subdued and alternative offering of restaurants located on calle 65. It serves excellent Colombian food with a twist, and masterfully incorporates traditional ingredients and flavors in its plates. The restaurant caters to a new sophisticated but casual bogotano crowd. Definitely worth the visit.

Bogota has several great places to eat but El Chato is number ONE!!! Absolutely fascinating combinations of all local products along with refined culinary skills of the chefs gives the unforgettable final effect - in addition the sevice is exceptional - you have to eat in El Chato when you visiting Bogota

Nice place but the food is rare and expensive. Staff ok. is a rare zone for a restaurant becouse there are just a few restaurants.

Ate here on the first day in colombia and had a very good experience. Nice decor, friendly staff and original food. Worth a try!
