I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not.I have been going to this place for many years now and it’s always good. Usually, I get the parrillada for two. It comes with some flank steak, beef sweetbreads, sausage/chorizo, beef ribs, bread, and two side orders which can include green plantain, sweet plantain, garden salad, fried cassava, delicious garlic fires with parsley, and others. How would anyone recommend this restaurant? I asked the waitress for glass of water and waited for 15 minutes to get it. When the water pitcher was empty, the waitress just stared at it and walked away 1) Very bad service 2) Expensive for average food. 3) Prices on menu are not the same on the bill 4) Gratuity is listed on bill as part of the order, then charge tax onto top the gratuity. The gratuity should be added onto AFTER the tax, NOT before the tax. (Double charge, SCAM) 5) The gratuity should not be added onto TAKE OUT ORDER. 6) The place was not clean at all. I'm very disappointed. Will NOT going back. Think before going I usually don't write review, just to let other people know.
The food at El Chivito D'oro is consistently fantastic. My family and I come here often when we're craving a satisfying meal. Although the food is outstanding, the service can be hit or miss—sometimes the staff seem rude or irritated when you ask for something. The restaurant could also benefit from more space, as the tables are quite cramped. Despite the occasional service issues and tight seating, the delicious food easily outweighs these drawbacks.
El Chivito D'oro is a great place to visit if you're craving steak prepared in unique ways. Their menu features the chivito, a hearty sandwich. We tried the steak chivito, which was absolutely delicious, as well as the steak with sautéed onions—perfectly cooked for onion lovers! The portions are generous, making it ideal for sharing. The staff at El Chivito D'oro are friendly and attentive, adding to the wonderful dining experience.

El Chivito D'oro is a warm and family-friendly restaurant offering excellent food. While it's not fancy, the cozy atmosphere brings a slice of South American life to Queens. Great Argentinian foods! In the heart of Jackson Heights. I love the marinated mushrooms so much that I ordered an extra one to go. The empanadas is filled with chicken or beef. I had the chicken a d ordered the beef to-go. Go check it out, you won't need disappointed!
Food is good, but it is a lot of meat so it is a little too much for me. Papaya shake is pretty good. I also like their complimentary bread with chimichurri sauce. Portion is huge, price is a little expensive, but then again it's all meat so it makes sense.Food: 3/5
I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. If you're looking for Uruguayan parillada, this is the place to be. They offer everything from parilladas to empanadas to postre Chaja. Food: 5/5.

Always great food. The parrillada para dos can feed up to 4 people. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I always go back here.
The supervisor is mostly disrespectful with the employees and it is very evident therefore is not a good environment to eat.
