El Cortijiyo - Reservar una mesa

Después de vacacionar en la Costa de la Luz durante muchos años, las magníficas playas y los chiringuitos repartidos a lo largo de ellas eran una parte importante de la atracción. Comida local fresca, sin pretensiones y siempre bien preparada. Caminabas desde la playa, sabiendo exactamente qué esperar, y nunca quedabas decepcionado. Sin embargo, las cosas están cambiando, especialmente en lugares cercanos como Conil, donde muchos de los chiringuitos han experimentado una considerable gentrificación en los últimos años, con comida y precios elegantes. Es por eso que es un placer volver a lugares como El Cortijiyo, que ha resistido esta tendencia. Pequeño, concurrido, ruidoso, pero muy agradab...

We ordered lamb chops with potatoes it came with lamb chops with no meat just fat and bone with chips. I asked for potatoes they charged us 13 euro for the chops and extra 5 for the potato. We also ordered fried chicken im for 10euro it was nothing like we expected and the bill came to 60 euro. No way would I come back here I went to pay bill and told them how I feel they didn't care less. The fish was good 20 euro but I wish I came somewhere as I could have done more with my money elsewhere. Wine was double what you pay elsewhere too

We have been before and liked it, this time there was less people on a Sunday at lunch time. The service however was very slow, no smiles and hard to get the attention of a member of staff. The gambas al ajillo were tasteless, the lubina a la espalda was super tasty and fresh and the coquinas were average since they lacked taste. Next time we will go elsewhere.

We had dinner here one evening in late July 2016. We ordered a variety of fish dishes, which turned out to be very fresh and tasty. The restaurant was quite basic, but blended in very well with the local surroundings. An excellent place we would certainly return to.

Authentic Spanish food for fair prices. Nothing fancy but just right to enjoy the amazing fresh fish and tapas. Just what we were looking for. Very friendly service that only speaks Spanish. Made it feel even less touristic.
