on January 2017. in the outside area all full but inside still found space. order abandoned and waiting for eating, a karaffe sangria 1 l for 19,--€ quite at a painful limit. because for 2 people paella was ordered it took about 40 minutes. paella was delivered very dry and lightly burned (normally I should have let it go back soon), a portion garnel instead of promised 6 exemplars also delivered only with 5. a steak had longed. After complaint, at least flan was made available at the cost of the house. Conclusion: we will probably no longer return here from established price-performance ratio.
This was our chosen restaurant for my wife's birthday. Having looked around we liked the look of the paella.Following a very fine bottle of cava we had starters of gaspacho and grilled sardines,. Both were very tasty and good value. After a short while the paella arrived, we had specified no meat and there was none. A good paella but not outstanding, the appearance was excellent but taste wise it did not quite deliver, not enough "Spanish flavour" and it should have been cooked for at least another five minutes. The rice was al-dente and what flavour there was had not fully developed.

Without reservation we were accommodated at different tables, all were very satisfied with the ordered foods and drinks. We thank you very much for the service that served us friendly and accommodating. Since I was a guest at the El Gitano, I could recommend this restaurant to my friends who were confirmed and reworked during further visits in Düsseldorf.
We have been here for almost 20 years and enjoy the mood and the unchanged ambience. The whole alley flows from a holiday feeling and in the El Gitano you can also enjoy the appropriate food. The quality of food is good and the price-performance ratio is right. It is recommended to visit the lunchtime. Then 'feeling' is not a holiday, but the lunch card compensates for the selection and pricing for a hard working day.

Great restaurant located in a trendy little street in downtown Duesseldort. Very picturesque. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from, but we made the right choice.The service and food were amazing. I tasted my son's Rumpsteak and it was the best I have ever tasted. Since it is a spanish restaurant I chose the Paella and a glass of Sangria. Both delicious.
The food is delicious but the prices are exaggerated. I had a plate of Spanish ham and melon that cost €11 but the portion was too small. I followed that with a meat skewer and side salad which was delicious again but costly at €17. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, give this one a try along with the others and decide for yourself.
the service: first class and also for Saturday night excellent for this opposite and the price ratio: friendly, courteous and helpful.The eating: hunger drove pure. the fish plate: dry and old, the salatsauce from the bottle from the super market. only the brot was even dryer than the fish. more than the magn fill was not.
The El Gitano joins many Spanish restaurants in the Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse. You have the impression that the restaurants belong together. Nonetheless we have eaten very tasty in the El Gitano and the service was also very friendly. That's right for a Spanish evening. Not very cheap, but of good quality.

I have eaten in this Spanish (?) locally in the center of düsseldorf to evening. decent paella and sangria, but too many people of time (interpack fair) is not synonymous with service and quality. the price is also not exactly favorable.
we would be kindly received. the menu is very balanced. the service very friendly and always for a fun to have. eating fresh and very finely prepared. we are coming back
