El Jacal - Reserva de mesa

I absolutely adore this place! Whenever I find myself in the area, I make sure to stop by. It has that classic small business family atmosphere where the waitstaff are attentive and professional. The prices are great, and you can tell the food is made with care. As the saying goes, if a Latin restaurant is good, it's got to have salsa – and they proudly serve both green and red salsa here. The chips taste freshly fried too! The tacos feature handmade tortillas, priced at just $2 for carne asada and $3 for other options. If only I could bring this restaurant back to my town!

I would have given this place 5 stars, but a few days ago, the waitress who took my order got it wrong. Instead of apologizing, she argued with me. I didn't want to be rude or give anyone a hard time, so I reluctantly accepted the food she brought me. I really wish she would have acknowledged her mistake instead of making me feel like a liar. My family heard my order too, so there was never any doubt about it. I hope she starts writing down the orders going forward to avoid ruining someone else's meal.

The food was decent overall, and the handmade tortillas were good but not the best. The service was prompt. However, the owners were quite strict about their menu; when I asked if I could get an egg, the server told me sadly that they don’t serve eggs after 12 o'clock. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since it's just an egg. Despite that, I would consider going back.

Always great service, great coffee and I enjoyed all meals all day I had and my favorite is breakfast. Your huevos con chorizo are delicious. They always bring out chips and salsa. The chips are authentic and the salsa made fresh, both red and green. Salsa is perfect for chips and meals. Reserva una mesa ahora
