When you walk in, there are plenty of tables in the open and airy patio, as well as, ample seating inside. It was a beautiful day in SJC, so we opted to sit outside. The food was wonderful!! Service great! We loved everything. Fresh, chunky guacamole served with salsa to adjust to your level of heat. Tortilla soup rich with chicken was substantially filling. Enchilladas mouth watering with thick, rich mole favored sauce; green shrimp enchilladas scrumptious with Mexican cheese, delish Mexican rice beans. Chile rellenos incredibly light. Husband and I were in San Juan Capistrano for a few days and ate lunch here. Our server was friendly, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. We are picky when it comes to Mexican food, it's my favorite. We had the guacamole chips, delicious. I highly recommend the chile relleno combination plate. Everything was fresh and so tasty. Husband had a chimichanga which he said was also delicious. We will definitely be eating here again sometime.
Just found about this place. They have delicious pico de gallo...I had them make it hot and add serrano peppers, absolutely delicious! We also tried the carnitas and the combo platter with 2 tacos and an enchilada. The food was incredible. Our server was really helpful, we had some questions about the area and they were able to give us some directions to places we wanted to go see.

Extensive menu, excellent ingredients, nicely cooked. Good location, close to the Mission and the train station. Very friendly, and informal. Recently refurbished so now more spacious. I've been eating here for years, including take-out. Recently I sent my boss here when he was in town and wanted good Mexican, a subject upon which he's a well respected expert... and he loved it.
Terrible service My first and last time going to this restaurant , service was terrible We asked 3 or 4 times for salsa or chips, they never bring it, I asked for to go box , she throw it on the table , waitress was very rude , I didn't leave any tip, because I wasn't happy with the service
Love at first bite. The open atmosphere, 1st class service, and delicious dishes make it a home run. After dozens of visits we still keep coming monthly. Enjoy! Salud!
