El Marinero Asador

We went here for lunch prior to boarding a ferry from the nearby port of Bilbao. It was the first restaurant we came to and I'm so glad we went there. The place seemed to be very busy with locals and we had a great value 3 course lunch including wine for €12 each. No English spoken so you need to have a bit of Spanish, but the service was friendly and efficient, mostly salad starters, meat or fish for main course and a choice of desserts. All very tasty.

Fuimos el domingo y comimos menú del día (20€ p/persona). Los primeros estaban muy ricos (langostinos y paella) , pero los segundos eran más normalitos. Estaban ricos en cualquier caso. Los postres muy ricos. Personal atento.

Really great food, lovely woman serving. Sit upstairs for quieter meal. Mixed seafood and shrimp plancha were divine...our chins dripped with delicious mess.

This place lacks atmosphere and are trying to sell you some very expensive fish dishes. I had a small tapa which was ok but not more.
