Bought Spices and mole. Sad to see lot of the specialty shops are now gone. The main motor La Gloria Tortilleria, within the Mercadito, plus the cheese and cream, abarrote deli-mexicatesen the original old one that had been there the last 45 yrs is also gone. A ghost town with some surviving shops and restaurant's. Sad not to hear the echoes of the Mariachi live music. The master of ceremonies yelling out felicitaciones. My childhood memories of going there with my Tia's and their grimy greasy boyfriends. Was worth going. Just to see what is left. Make sure to take enough money for the anotjitos, the huaraches, enquires, gelatinas, bionicos de fruta fresca, and the delicious Aguas frescos. Terrible parking lots of pot holes, lumpy like when you used to drive to old Tijuana. You just shake rattle and roll. And I don't mean our lonjitas. If you love your vehicle, tires and rims don't park in their parking lot. You will have some damage for sure. Plus you need to use you girdles just to get out of your vehicle. Need to be skinny just to get out of the car. Not to many spots to sit down and eat to your hearts desire either..take a pound of patience you will need once you see the lines for food and snacks.

love this place! they feel like home! the sellers are friendly and when they shop around them they find very good prices. they come with the whole family and with a lot of time. bring the little ones so they can learn about their culture and their folks. in a time of online shopping and the big retailer it is a blessing to have places like these still open. please support their local providers, they could pay a little more, but they will help to expand this wonderful experience for future generations. Also note that these providers were probably closed during the kovid, but still pay for their rooms, so please not be a lemon.

very safe, many parking visitors, the traffic, super nice Mexican products and many munchies to try. I wanted to buy a folklorico outfit for my daughter and find everything we needed. even a typical top for me.

Love the Mercadito, the food, the ice cream, raspados and all the goodies, just want them to open the 3th floor so we can enjoy the mariachi
