El Meson Mexican

We stop at Mexican restaurants when we are on road trips. It’s gotten to be our thing. This one is rated kind of mediocre. We went to other one first, it was packed, lots of families, lots of chidren, a wait line, and no bar. So we went to El Meson. The food was no authentic, used bell peppers and such, but very tasty. Where other’s will charge you if you want sour cream, the nachos hear included more than a half cup of sour cream. Americanized, yes but delicious and plentiful. But, best of all, the Margaritas were great. They had several “top shelf” options available but they custom mixed them right there in front of you. You could see the ingredients they used, no pre-mixed stuff, squeezed the lemons and added the liquors including Grand Mariner. $12.99 for a big one and it was all you needed. Will be a rising star for those who want a more adult atmosphere and very good Margaritas. Also, we have never been asked by so many bartenders, waitresses and owners if everything was ok or if we needed anything else during one short meal. Very attentive, have kind staff.

The waitress was very rude. She even cursed me calling me a Bitc# I called her it back. I was shocked and mad how your employee treats your customers. So very unprofessional. She didn't understand grilled chicken for a taco salad. Asking if I wanted veggies. I showed her a taco salad on the menu. She maybe was making fun of me a fat person eating a salad. She maybe had no idea a regular taco salad can come with grilled chicken for an additional fee. I didn't want the fajita taco salad with onion and peppers. Just the plain grilled chicken like with the arros con pollo. She was mean, rude and very unprofessional. I think maybe why chalula is always so packed is the staff is nicer.I was just at elmeson a few days ago. The guy was awesome. That's why we tried it again. She needs to work on her attitude I feed off energy. She should not represent your buisness. She had no idea of the menu, rude, attitude problems and angry easily. Calling customers out of their name was uncalled for. We definitely won't be back

Great service! Supper friendly, pleasant place Good food and fast. Nice colors, warm and delightful. Super tasty great authentic Mexican. Quiet and most definitely a hidden Treasure. I will be coming here a lot! Drinks are very very good as well

We have always loved El Mason. Delicious food. Decent prices. Adult beverages. And we like the patio.
