El Nido - Reserva de mesa

My party and I dined at this restaurant on a Tuesday night in early January and were delighted to see that there were several other tables of diners as well. This was a good sign to me, as a restaurant with a decent number of customers at this time of year and during COVID must be doing something right. There were four of us, and we all chose a different starter, main, and dessert from the set menu. Each dish we ordered was delicious! My family and I visited this family-run restaurant for dinner to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Let me say straight away that the food was excellent. Large portions for the starters. Great choice on the menu. Delicious paella. Service was efficient and attentive (all servers wore masks), but.....reason I didn't give 5 stars was it lacked real atmosphere, was slightly too efficient and almost clinical. I know they were busy (the restaurant was full on the evening we visited), but no-one asked during our meal if everything was OK. I felt they could take us or leave us.

I had a first date in Wallington and wanted to impress, so I chose El Nido online without knowing much about it. It turned out to be a fantastic find! We were seated at a lovely table in a corner and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and the service was attentive but not overbearing. It was the perfect venue for a romantic date, thanks to El Nido. We loved it so much that we have decided to book the same table for our first anniversary as a couple. Thank you, El Nido, for a great experience. Keep up the good work!

Have just enjoyed the most wonderful meal in celebration of our Anniversary. The mushroom soup to start with is gorgeous, followed by a gorgeous succulent fillet steak. I had chips and they were so well cooked, absolutely perfection. The vegetables that came with it are also perfectly cooked. Have been going here for many many years, never have a bad meal. Fantastic restaurant! Food is great, service great and family run since 1978. We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the owners were lovely. I had sardines that were plump and delicious followed by paella equally delicious.

I had the set menu at this restaurant recently and for a set menu it was unlike most. It had a huge range of dishes, including steak. I had a pornstar martini which was amazing. Quality of the food was 10/10. Highly recommended

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, delicious, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly, and the service is friendly. The dessert trolley was exquisite.

Love this place. Such friendly staff, very authentic family run restaurant. Great food and really good prices. Would highly recommend.
