The girl working at the front counter is a joke. She will try to overcharge you for extras. I placed an order through DoorDash for pick up and requested extra chicharrón when I arrived. She attempted to charge me $10 for extra chicharrón for 3 pupusas, on top of the $12 I already paid through DoorDash, making it $22 per pupusa. That is essentially $7.50 per pupusa if you do the math. I refused to pay the $10 extra charge and questioned why it was that high. She explained that it was $2 per pupusa, totaling $6, but then added tax. I insisted that the tax on $6 would only be 54 cents. Frustrated, she walked away and I asked for a refund and cancelled my DoorDash order. As I was in my car talki...
This restaurant deserves zero stars, but unfortunately that's not an option. My fiancé and I called this place to order 5 cheese pupusas, but they made them with pork instead. The pupusas looked terrible and had a terrible smell. How could anyone eat this? We paid $17 for this? I don't care about the price, but this place really needs to learn how to cook. It was a horrible experience! Avoid this place and order your pupusas or food elsewhere. This was our first time ordering from here, and it will be our last. $17 straight to the garbage.
I ordered some Birria Tacos for takeout. The food was very good and reasonably priced, although it did take a bit long to prepare (which I assume is because it was freshly made). I would suggest ordering ahead and picking up if possible. The restaurant is small with only a few tables but has a genuine feeling of authentic Mexican street food that keeps me coming back for more. The main downside, besides the wait, is the parking - it may be the worst parking lot ever, but the delicious food makes it worth the inconvenience.
Two separate take out visits: First visit order for three different tacos, chicken p, steak, ground beef Second visit burrito Tortillas with the tacos were great a little skimpy on the filling, burrito is a better value...... Both occasions, staff was polite and fast. They were fine about mAking special request, i.e., less rice, more beans. Not exactly the cleanest place, and parking can be funky, but food was flavorful and authentic. I'll go back Reserva una mesa ahora
The counter girl is a crook and nasty to customers. I was ridiculously overcharged and I think I saw her pocket $10 from the money I paid. I didn?t say anything. I was hoping that, despite the service being terrible, maybe the food would be good. Well, I can?t say if it was good, bc I threw it out after finding ants in the food. Never going there again.
I don't know what else to say other than I really love this place. Food is as authentic as it gets out on the Island and the workers are always polite and accommodating. Prices are very affordable, especially for the amount of food you get. I definitely recommend giving them a go. They haven't disappointed me yet.
