I wish the co-owner would come by and see the loyal customers. I used to eat there four times a week, but it’s just not the same anymore. The special used to be seven dollars, and now it's eight, but they don’t serve my favorite daytime dish, Chill Relleno, which I can hardly spell today! The owner's daughter was in grade school when I first started going, and now she’s probably graduated from high school. El Patron serves great food. Next time you visit, be sure to try the dessert menu—it's the best Mexican restaurant I've encountered since leaving Mexico.
Love El Patron. My favorite Mexican spot in Evansville hands down. The salsa is top notch and if you are into extra spicy be sure to ask for the fresh hot salsa from the back. It is very flavorful and will definitely give you the heat you are looking for. Stopped in for the Tuesday $1 lunch taco deal today. 2 soft shell chicken and 2 hard shell beef. Both were very good and loaded with meat and all the fixings. Service is always top notch and have never had a bad experience. Be sure to give them a visit.
This place is easy to miss, hidden at the back of the shopping center. That's a shame because it's great. The service was excellent, the food was hot, fresh and quickly served, and the drinks tasty and full. All we have ordered was absolutely amazing and I am not disappointed about this last minute decision to stop here for a lunch break during a long working day. You also have a nice terrace available to eat.
We visited on Tuesday for their Taco Tuesday special, where tacos are only 99 CENTS! You really can't beat that price for such delicious tacos! We were pleasantly surprised by the incredible aromas in the restaurant. The place was clean, the service was fast, attentive, and friendly, and the prices were fantastic! The margaritas were just $2.50 for lime. We'll definitely be back every Tuesday!

We had dinner for my birthday with my family and a coworker on a Thursday night. We got seated promptly and had good service. The server kept our drinks full and our chip basket and salsa bowls full! Everything came out correct and piping out. I tried something new to me the pineapple Fiesta. Everything was very good!
Food is good and service is great. Our server was very nice. I noticed lately at most restaurants, employees can care less whether you are there but this place actually seemed to be very happy to have customers and they were super nice and actually appreciate our business. Thank you so much
Excellent service! We visited on Saturday to take advantage of the free kids' meal, and our server truly exceeded our expectations. It was a breath of fresh air, especially with two toddlers in tow. The food was delicious, arrived quickly, and was served hot. I highly recommend this place!
The taste of the peach margarita was one of the best I have had but not alot of alcohol in it though. The Fiesta pineapple was good and I had fried ice cream to go which was good.

From the moment you go until you leave this place, impress. Quick seating, fast, delicious food, very affordable staff and the owner is always present. We love this place!!!!
Great food! It was a long time since we ate here, and it wasn't disappointed. The best taco salad I've had for years! Great lunches!
