El Pescador Fish Market

Even though I've lived nearby for years, I only recently decided to try El Pescador. What a missed opportunity it was! This restaurant offers an amazing selection and variety of seafood. Everything is incredibly fresh. The swordfish, perfectly cooked and served in a homemade dressing on a soft roll, was delightful. I also enjoyed the crab cocktail, which was excellent, considering I’m usually not a huge fan; the sauce had just the right level of heat. The grilled octopus was so well-prepared that we’re now devoted fans for life. The service staff was great, there’s plenty of seating, and a wide range of beverages to choose from. I'm already planning our next visit!

We found parking behind this market/restaurant, located on Pearl Street, just west of Draper. It was a great choice. We came specifically for the fish tacos and were determined to sample them. I requested local fish and was recommended sea bass and yellowtail. The sea bass was outstanding, but the yellowtail was rather bland, which is why I’m giving the restaurant four stars instead of five. Everything else about our experience was top-notch from beginning to end. A pinch of salt or pepper might have made all the difference!

Great food for a quick bite in SD! Came to SD for a day trip and looked for a fresh fish market.We got:Wild sockeye salmon sandwhichPokéHalibut plateFish burritoI loved the wild sockeye sandwhich.. it was a bit too bready but it was good.The person taking our order was very patient with us since it was our first time and we had a big order. So that was a plus! Great service.I must mention the bathrooms were spotless. You know a restaurant is good if their bathrooms are clean!!5 stars based on all the fish being very fresh!

Scored parking behind this market/restaurant, heading down Pearl, just west of Draper. Proper. We came in search of fish tacos and we would not leave until we tasted them in our pie holes. I demanded local fish so we were recommended sea bass and yellowtail. The sea bass was phenomenal but the yellow tail lacked flavor and is the reason why they got four stars. Otherwise everything was a five-star experience from start to finish. I'm thinking just a little bit of salt or pepper could have saved the day.

This restaurant is fantastic with delicious, fresh fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. It was quite busy, with many customers purchasing fresh fish. We ordered a yellowtail salad, halibut plates for the kids, and a swordfish sandwich. Everything was tasty. Although the service was a bit slow, the staff was friendly and the surroundings were clean. I highly recommend this place!

It’s our second time in this place. FRESH and DELICIOUS fish ?????We ordered salmon hamachi, Fish tacos, Fresh local White sea bass, Fresh Wild Alaska Halibut and sides of brown rice, black beans and grilled veggies(forget it the grilled veggies)The energy is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful with the clients. Of course we will come back

It was our last day in La Jolla… decided on a leisurely lunch. Pretty unique buzzy place. Restaurant and pick up takeaway. I went for the swordfish.. more adventurous wife the octopus which she loved. Order at the counter delivered to the table. Friendly, helpful and chatty staff. Reserva una mesa ahora

There's not many places in the area where you can get some really fresh fish. It's one of the best. We got seabass and opah fish ? ?. Also, West Coast oysters were definitely delicious. Highly recommended for people who want some healthy and good taste food.

Super cool area, and really nice building. Pretty outdoor and indoor seating, and an amazing selection for any seafood lover. I had the pokè, which was delicious. My only complaint was the small portion size but it was amazing fish, so it's alright.
