I visited this restaurant for lunch and left feeling satisfied. I highly recommend it, as the food quality was excellent and the portion sizes were generous. The service was average, but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I tried several different dishes to get a feel for the menu, and I was very pleased with everything. Just a heads up: when you order a cup of green chili, it's actually the size of a bowl—and a large one at that! I had the menudo, green chili, cheese enchiladas, and the fundido as an appetizer. 7 times out of 10, they get our order wrong. When they do get it wrong, they’re apologetic and make it right. The food is ok. Chili rellano and enchilada cheese is never melted. I can’t eat meat and once I ordered my meal with red sauce instead of green with pork. They brought out green with pork and I sent it back. Instead of making a new meal, they scraped off the green and added red. I didn’t realize they did this until I was nearly puking an hour later. We haven’t been back since then.

We dine here almost every Saturday night, even though indoor seating isn't available. The staff has consistently been friendly and courteous, and the food is always excellent. We've been coming here for almost four years, even under the previous name. Thank you for the wonderful dining experience, El Abuelo!

The Menudo here is absolutely fantastic! A big shout-out to the cooks! The waitstaff is incredibly friendly as well!
