Cafe Poblano is a hidden gem. This cozy spot offers delicious tacos, other Mexican dishes, and a few unique specialties that you won't find just anywhere. The Torta and Cemitas (Mexican sandwiches) are excellent, as are the tacos. For the more adventurous eaters, I recommend trying the Pambazo—a popular street food from Mexico City. It's essentially a Torta soaked in Guajillo sauce, grilled, and filled with potatoes and chorizo. It's quite filling on its own, but be prepared to take it to go, as there’s no bathroom available for cleanup!
The food is always delicious and everyone is really nice. I'm so glad I found this place, just moved to the area a few months ago and I love it.Owners are very friendly. Pizza is delicious. Love the empanadas. Delivery is always fast. The man that owns the place and his family are always a pleasure. Friendly fast and courteous. If you want to try something different order the chicken and broccoli with penne.
Even though it was only 10:30, I skipped over breakfast items and went straight for the tacos since it was what my heart desired. I was pleased to hear they serve lunch items like tacos and platters all day. Nothing beats tacos in the morning. opted out of the extras like lettuce tomatoes, since it already comes with guac, onions, and cilantro which are already good enough for me.
Tacos el Poblano is definitely one of the best places in Yonkers to get Mexican food. All dishes especially the nachos are great. A little expensive for a hole in the wall-style joint, but worth it. Just reason they don't have 5 stars is because the tacos have no consistency. Some days they taste better than others, although they are never bad.

You can tell when someone takes pride in the food they serve. Can't beat fresh homemade cooking. I go there whenever im in the neighbourhood and the food and service is always excellent. I usually get a special or whatever the chef recommends and never been disappointed. Always look forward to it.
The food is fantastic! The sopes, tostadas, and omelets are delicious. The salsas and pickles are great as well.
