I was staying at the Balneario Pozo de La Salud hotel, just in front, and wanted a tasty Canarian lunch rather than hotel food. I've lived in the Canary Islands for 13 years and know exactly what to expect from these typical local bar/restaurants, but I'm afraid this place deserves a stinging report. It was all wrong from the start. Half full of people and one slightly bored waitress. People arrived and found a seat before looking around for menus. The waitress was offhand and unhelpful. There was one guy in the kitchen and orders were taking upwards of half and hour to appear. Tenía miedo de que el lugar, que parecía ser el sitio preferido de los clientes regulares del centro de salud (y probablemente lo sea), no fuera una buena idea para almorzar de camino al Sabinar. Pero estaba equivocado, el servicio fue muy profesional (aunque necesitas practicar tu español), muy flexible, las tapas muy buenas, sin mencionar el vino Frontera. Pedimos 4 tapas para compartir y de manera muy inteligente nos dieron la más dulce de ellas (delicioso queso con miel y nueces) al final. Pagas tu cuenta en la recepción del centro. Es posible que no estén abiertos todo el día, ya que coordinan con las actividades del centro, probablemente cierren a las 3pm para abrir de nuevo alrededor...
Don 't be put off by 1st impressions. While this is primarily a locals ' bar there is a small, changing, selection of tapas which were average, though they serve some of the best green olives I 've had. However, we ate there in the evenings as well and were impressed by the restaurant food. Fish caught just out in the El Golfo bay was beautifully cooked and served with good accompaniments. The 'viera ' (don 't know what it is in English) was superb. I also loved the squid in a green sauce. Outside tables may be used by smokers so you may not be able to make the most of the sea view while eating.
As other reviewers have noted, don't let the appearance put you off. It is a pretty basic place with just the bare necessities, but the seafood was very good. Don't expect fancy presentation or imaginative dishes, just fresh fish with simple accompaniments. The cuttlefish is good enough that we returned a second time during our stay. Staff are friendly but don't spesak much English. The owner's home-made liqueur (offered free after the meal) would make good paint stripper!

A pesar de que la ubicación es excelente, el spa con jacuzzi, sauna, baño de vapor y duchas de chorro fue un poco decepcionante ya que las instalaciones están un poco viejas. También tuvimos un masaje ayurvédico con Heike, que fue genial y muy relajante. Esto hizo que el día en Pozo de La Salud valiera la pena el viaje.
Hicimos una breve parada aquí durante un día de exploración. Eran más de las 4 pero todo el menú todavía estaba disponible. Elegimos garbanzas y croquetas como aperitivo, junto con el pan y un par de cervezas, todo por menos de 12 euros. Ambos platos buenos, pero no excelentes. Fue un aperitivo agradable.
In have eaten fish with my friend Antonio from EL Tamaduste yesterday and one hour later i get very sick. We have to stop several times on the roadbbecause I got diarrhea. The fish was old and dry. The cook has put a sauce on this fish to hide it.Never again. I was very sick.
Maravilloso hotel. personal amable y acogedor. Vistas inmejorables. comida casera, simple pero de calidad. la espaciosa habitación, decorada con goo. ofrecen un pequeño circuito de spa que se siente lujoso después de las excursiones. Hicimos un masaje. Genial. ¡Volveremos!

Being part of the Balneario, it's probably reasonable to expect the restaurant to be on the more expensive end of the range and it was. But the good quality canarian cuisine did justify it and ww were served professionally despite us arriving just before closing time.
pescado fresco y bondad. el peto y las cabañas excepcionales y una olla especial para el aro. Sitio recomendado
