Having previously given a positive review in 2018, on Friday 16 August 2019. Attended establishment, identified a serious training issue, staffs deliverance of basic customer service was both appalling and lacklustre. Basic order of tea and coffee. Coffee was beyond cold and not of the right consistency for a latte, after much discussion this was exchanged for another, embarassed further in trying to identify the exchange as coffee. Communication problems with my order of green tea and I speak good Spanish, ordered repeadly in both Spanish and English. Staff members to their credit provided me with an smartphone translator, I spoke in Spanish into the device, to their embarrassment whence translated back was correct in pronunciation, further found myself having to order hot water to fill my cup to the correct level.. Staff made aware of our disappointment and showed no compassion, however we paid, left our beveridges and located a nearby Spanish speaking resturant whereupon we dined not just on food and beveridges but also on exceptional customer service. Needless to say I cannot forsee myself returning or recommending, disappointing as the site has so much to offer.
We stayed at El Rancho for 4 nights in July , the complex is situated a few km outside of Los Montesinos in the countryside, the hotel and grounds are well kept and clean, swimming pool is good size , plenty of loungers and seats ,although if you are visiting the pool as a non resident there is a €10 charge . On site there is quite a big restaurant with seating inside and out only tried the tapas €7.50 were ok . There is also horse riding and pétanque available at extra cost . The rooms are small and compact with air con ,tv , internet and shower , walls are very thin so noise travels quite easily room to room . Would be a good addition to the rooms if they had a small fridge to keep food and drinks cool if you want to chill out on balcony . Would return again on next visit .
Está bien para un fin de semana o un día de relax pero las instalaciones están obsoletas y mal cuidado, todo muy dejado, el baño súper pequeño y sucio, deberían renovar las instalaciones sobre todo en las cabañas, el agua caliente se acaba rápido, las camas sólo tienen un edredón fino sin sábanas, en definitiva mucho que mejorar.
