I began with their house margarita (plain, not flavored), which was excellent and with just the right amount of tequila. Their chips and salsa are homemade and the salsa has a rich deep smoky flavor, with just a touch of heat. The small guacamole was also fresh and creamy. Meh Escuché cosas tan increíbles sobre El Rancho y fue muy decepcionada. Primera vez, la salsa estaba congelada. ¡La segunda vez fue mejor (principalmente porque los margs picantes eran geniales!) Pero todavía estaba impresionado. Me encantaría encontrar un gran lugar mexicano en la Providencia. Además, no estoy convencido de que hay uno!
Meh. I heard such amazing things about El Rancho and was very underwhelmed. First time, the salsa was frozen. Second time was better (mainly because the spicy margs were great!) but I was still unimpressed. Would LOVE to find a great Mexican place in Providence. Also, I am unconvinced that there is one!
