El Sol - Reserva de mesa

An extremely disappointing experience. We came here because of the positive reviews and were met with very bland, overcooked food and non existent service. We were the only table in the restaurant and it still took over 25 minutes to get our food. The chips were very hard and tasted of old frying oil- likely too thick of tortilla. The cheese dip was cold, which they then microwaved to warm it up- can’t say why it was cold to begin with. The steak and pork chop dishes (res and puerco) were super thin cut, overcooked and lacked any flavor. Normally we would send food back or at least comment on it but the server didn’t show back up until it was time for the check. Do not recommend.

We've been visiting El Sol to see Maria for over twenty years now. It feels like every customer becomes a lifelong patron, and many have frequented this place so often that they’ve lost track of how much they've spent over the years at those green tables. Sometimes Maria is there, sometimes she isn't, but the food is consistently outstanding. Prices have increased recently, like many places, but the quality remains top-notch. For me, it's all about the three steak tacos on corn, topped only with cilantro and onions. I like to add some green salsa for flavor and a refreshing agua fresca to balance out the spice. This is definitely the most popular order! El Sol for life!

It's a new restaurant recommended by a friend. I went early for dinner, around 5:00pm, on a Friday and it was fairly empty inside. They do have a window where you place your order and can take it home or eat inside/outside. The food was fresh and the tortillas were homemade. Good food and inexpensive. I would stop by again next time I'm in the area.

This is exactly what you can expect if you were eating in Mexico. Real authentic Mexican food. Stop next door and pick up some Corona and bring your own Beer! Dine inside or outside on the patio. And the best part, they are dog Friendly. Muy delicioso y Fantástico Reserva una mesa ahora

The Mexican food here is excellent and truly authentic! The menu offers a fantastic variety, and the server was both pleasant and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered.
