Not exactly sure what kind of experience people are having here but I've been here recently and the coffee is great. If you've been in Hamburg a while you've been to Elbgold at one of their locations and you either come for the coffee or you don't. Nevertheless, I found the people here to be pleasant and didn't get any negative vibe whatsoever. They didn't treat and greet me like family but I am not regularly here. They did their job, I had a great coffee, sat at the counter and worked on my computer a bit, and then went about the rest of my day happily. Coffee and Banana bread were amazing. However, the girl who took my order was giving so much negativity vibe right away when I entered the cafe. (Not busy at all and what I observed it was only toward me Barista was smiling and of course I smiled to all of them. best oatmilk cappuccino I had in Hamburg so far : however, the place itself is not so inviting, as there are only bar stools. I would have liked to come here also with friends etc. but the sitting situation makes it impossible. despite this, 5 stars for the tasty coffee! :
Coffee was good, had ordered a Decaf Cappuccino for 3€, very nice made, the place had a toilet, this was just as clean, the business unfortunately had no French roles, but a small selection of cakes. Friendly staff, always happy!

The Elbgold has the best coffee I had so far in Hamburg. Also the banana bread is not to be despised. The service was always good and the staff always friendly. After the lockdown, I definitely look back.
Best café! Get me Standard Flati or Cappuccino when I'm on my way to the center. Lactose-free cheap H-milk not so good at the prices. For comparison: the normal milk is the hammer, ..
On the whole coffee fan of Elbgold coffee, is relatively expensive, but the coffee is absolutely worth it. Just enjoy!
