We booked for a birthday brunch on a Sunday for 6. The place was full and we had to wait 10 mins for the table we had booked at 11. Once seated it was another 15 mins until our order was taken. 15 mins then until our drinks arrived and another 5 until the food showed up. Clearly massively understaffed and delays were not the staff’s fault although when we asked for something some fresh boiling water for the teapot and some more maple syrup we had to remind twice until they arrived. Have been coming here since it first opened and it used to be great. Really great. Hit the spot for a naughty burger and a Margarita. Sadly, service has gone seriously downhill...we were continually ignored, so had to resort to hailing a server with frantic waves...every single time we needed something. The food (chicken burger) was just okay. The Margarita lacking a little something (maybe they use lemon instead of lime juice) and my friend returned hers (pineapple/basil thing) as it tasted of nothing. I have visited the Electric Diner on the very famous Portobello Road many, many times over the last 8 years or so but hadn't attended since April 2022 as the food and service which I and my son received at that time was way below par, however I decided to give it another chance and both myself and my partner went last Friday for breakfast and I'm very pleased to say that this time the experience was much better, this was mainly due to the very polite, attentive and very helpful waiter who took our order, and attended to us throughout our time there and the food was delicious also, so a big thank you to Tom John James, for your impeccable service, I shall definitely return !
Electric has always been our favourite for lunch or brunch when in Notting Hill. Haven’t been here since lockdown and decided to visit today. What a disappointment! Don’t get me wrong: the ambience is still there, and the food is remarkable. But service became almost non existent. Even to get the bill I have had to ask three times and wait 20 minutes. I really hope that our favourite diner would put their act together! But until such time better to avoid not to spoil the excellent memories of previous visits.

Just wandered in for something to eat on a Sunday, it was very busy, couldn’t get a booth which was understandable as we hadn’t booked. We were asked if we wanted to sit at the bar overlooking the kitchen/grill. Not a problem, if a little warm. Staff were great and quick. Food was excellent, we had the burgers. The chef was making a prototype pastrami bagel. We had a chat about it and he gave me a free sample, it was very good. I’d definitely return again, great place. Good prices for london.
I searched for excellent burgers on Portobello road and a few popped up. I went to the restaurant and it was really clean and the staff were very friendly. The menu is simple with plenty of nice choices. I ordered the double cheese burger and it came with chips. Over all I’d say it was very good, not amazing but still delicious. The double cheeseburger is actually three patties, and the single is a double. The burger wasn’t heavily seasoned but they did provide sauces. I’d go back for sure!
I have been living in London for the last month and I truly encountered trouble with food here, being Italian. I must admit hat Electric Diner has saved my days with extraordinary meals and service. I personally suggest to order the steak tartare which has always been excellent. Bill is high but in London is difficult to not be. It is located on Portobello Road therefore during the day is vivacious and during the evening there is a good night life.
Lovely venue quick service but not worth visiting. Mediocre burgers below average chips flat draft beer. Food came quickly but the service wasn’t worth the 13.5% service charge. After realising they over changed me for drinks we didn’t have getting a receipt and a refund was painful. The abrupt manager didn’t help.

Full English breakfast tastes well and has decent size. Waiting is a bit too relaxed but style and ambiente are very convincing. Good choice overall
One word.. Rotten. Awful food sent back twice. Waited ages to be served, even though it wasn’t busy. Nearly £50 for two breakfasts.
