A dish I used to eat often as a kidToday is the day I decided to give Elena's South Restaurant a taste. I'm enjoying my brief window of time where I can visit new to me places that are some distance from home, and I certainly enjoyed my breakfast today. I wasn't sure what to expect, Elena's doesn't seem to have much in the way of a website. Yelp was helpful, it usually is, and from that I felt it would end up being a good meal. It was.It was busy on this Sunday morning and I had a 15 minute wait to be seated. They had a specials board out on the sidewalk and one of the items listed was Chipped Beef on Toast. This was our first visit to the restaurant on a Sunday around 10:30 am. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast after attending Mass at Sacred Heart Church. My wife ordered the Corned Beef Omelet, while I opted for the Gyro Omelet. The food was prepared exactly as we requested. The wait time to be seated was around 15 minutes, and after we placed our order with the waitress, it took another 15 minutes for our meals to arrive. It was clearly a busy time for them.

Another great bfast with friends. Great coffee, walnut pancakes and for me bagel and bacon. Always busy, clean and fabulous wait staff. Coffee cup is never empty and food hot and tasty. Parking is easy and right on 41 South in Punta Gorda. Bfast specials that include coffee for good prices. Always a favorite and always good. New owners doing a great job.

Local diner in stip mall that's been here for years. So, it's a great meeting place for breakfast and lunch, and food is really good ! Portions are large. The meat lovers omelet is big enough to share if you're not really hungry. Hash browns are fresh and done right ; crispy on both sides ! Come early or late, if you don't want to wait !! Our breakfast treat, too much food, you won't leave hungry. Really nice looking tables. Limited parking, this can be a challenge during busy hours. Bring lots of money.Parking: Busy end of a strip mall..... small parking lot for multiple businesses....

We enjoyed our meals at Elena's served by our perfect waitress who was amply attentive. Our food arrived swiftly and was plentiful so two boxes to go. The food satisfied our taste buds as well. The only thing that I did not like was the outdated decor.

Excellent, reasonably-priced, home-style food. Very nice wait staff. 20-minute wait to be seated at busy times, so you know it's good!Food: 5/5

Really kind of sub-mid food here, expecting a lot more for how good the reviews are, but to be expected in this town.
