Eli's Restaurant

We were in Casa Carolina for a week and were never tired of eating. About our stay we probably tried the whole menu and it was always great. The food was always fresh and on site (including fresh bread). The keviche and seafood dishes were excellent and my 5 years old actually ate their food every time (and they make happy modifications for picky eater! They are very flexible so that you can order and serve anywhere on the property, including poolside. Even in quieter times there is always someone at the bar who can pick up your order. They are very accommodating of families and children. Many high chairs and safe places to crawl around. There are pool-side eating so you can keep an eye on floats. There is a 2 for 1 happy hour even day for adults: I was happy surprised with the nice breakfast included in the room rate. Breakfast is typical. Not with Elis! Every morning there is a beautiful and fresh buffet with seasonal fresh fruits, fresh bread, fresh parfait and yogurt, fresh squeezed juices, meat and cheese and you can also order from the hot menu. Consider the fact that this is really a full meal if you decide whether the room price is fair. Our family also hosted a wedding at the hotel, which was fully supervised by Eli's. Despite the number of guests, the whole food was fresh, excellent, fast and beautiful. Elis and his employees have done an excellent job! Especially we fell in love with the staff. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful and it was hard to leave them after a week. The atmosphere is also beautiful and shaded. We recommend Elis, even if you don't stay at the hotel.

My friends and I stayed at Casa carolina for 3 days, for those 3 days, we had the breakfast included with our stay. Usually, you think breakfast included and you get those small meals, but at Eli’s restaurant it was different. It was so good, they offer organic fair trade coffee, choice of 2-3 different freshly squeeze juice, smoothie and the food, I tried it all. In those 3 days, I ate the eggs, the Cayeye which is a mashed plantain with tomato, onion and garlic, Empanadas filled with either meat, cheese, tuna, chicken) , Arepa, Pancakes and my favorite, the Patacon which is a giant plantain chips served with sour cream, tomato and onion. If you stay there it is included, if you are someone from outside, the breakfast goes for 30,000 for non guest BUT MARK MY WORD, ITS THE BEST. For the dinner, I did not try it, but it looked good and they also have an happy hour from 5-7. 2 for 1 Big thanks to Luz Ney, Nini, Sandra, Daniella, and Stefania for the amazing hospitality

Vinimos a cenar porque estábamos alojados en el hotel y estábamos cansados, así que queríamos un bocado. Nos sentamos durante 15 minutos (solo había otras 2 mesas) antes de que alguien viniera a darnos menús. Nos sentamos durante otros 15 minutos pero nadie vino, así que entramos a la cocina para preguntarle al camarero si podía tomar nuestro pedido. Cuando quisimos una segunda bebida, dejamos de esperar, así que nuevamente entré a la cocina para ordenar. Pedimos salsa picante, nunca llegó, así que volvimos a la cocina para pedir la salsa picante. Terminamos de comer y nadie vino, así que volvimos a la cocina para pedir la cuenta. Sí, se supone que este lugar es un restaurante para sentarse y los precios ciertamente lo reflejan. Es el peor servicio que hemos tenido en Colombia y por los precios que estás pagando es una pena.

Tuvimos una cena muy agradable en este restaurante. El keviche estaba delicioso, fresco y bueno como debería ser. Los cócteles eran demasiado dulces.
