Elk Ridge Golf Course

This course is considered a regulation length, but it plays short from the white tees. It's all about approach shots and putting here, as the greens are wonderfully undulating. The bunkers are strategically placed, adding to the challenge. The drive from Canby took about 75 minutes, and I enjoyed beautiful views of the Gorge as I traveled along I-84, crossing the Bridge of the Gods with a $3 toll. Alternatively, you can take Highway 14 on the Washington side. It's well-rated as a winter course due to its excellent drainage, and the pro mentioned that it's common to use carts during the winter months. I highly recommend putting this course on your must-play list, especially on a lovely day...

Elk Ridge is one of my favorite golf courses. The front and back nines play totally different. Only a few trees along most of the course to block the views or in which to lose a ball. The rough gets tougher throughout the summer but the fairways are generous. The greens are highly contoured so three putts are not uncommon. It is not unusual to see deer and turkeys along the second hole. As it is located in the Gorge, it can be windy. It's a beautiful drive out of Vancouver along 14 and an easy drive from Portland on 84.

We came out to play Saturday from Vancouver and my husband forgot to bring his credit card. We were all the way to our car and the pro came out and said the head pro Brad would treat us to a round of golf . We were very impressed by this. I realized I could put it on my phone. Brad is an exceptional person, his staff is great also. I would deeply recommend this golf corse to others. The course is in great shape and the greens are great to! Thank you again Brad I will always remember this. Kathy and Dave.

Breakfast with a view of the golf course is always a pleasure. The food was fantastic; we tried the Elk Ridge Breakfast Sandwich and the Eggs Benedict, both of which were hearty and delicious. Absolutely gorgeous course, extremely well kept. Rained hard all day on a monday, tee'd it up 1130am on Tuesday and it was pristine. 360⁰ views and truly felt like an amazing value for the price. Take a break from Heron Lake or Tri Mountain, and take a beautiful drive up to Carson to play a course these 2 wish they could compare to

Interesting challenging course, fairly wide open but lots of hills and moguls that can steer your ball the wrong way.Nice clubhouse, restaurant and bar and friendly helpful staff. I think they might have a few Volkswagen bugs buried under some of the course ?

Great breakfast. Each employee was friendly and attentive. After breakfast, we found a gift for our son. who had played 18 holes yesterday. They are hopping find enough new employees to open again for the dinner hour.

Beauty all around. Fun to play layout, not too challenging. Greens are another thing. Several grass varieties along with weeds and clover...Bar closes at 3. Apparently, some morning drinkers?

Couldn't believe how dry the course was. No mud anywhere. Excellent golf day,experience, and the staff was friendly and professional. I'd play there every day if I could.
