I made a reservation for my birthday on 9/24 for 6. They were able to adjust my RSVP to 8 same day. My table was ready on time and they noted my birthday. It took a minute to get drinks but they were all delicious. After picking our food, we were notified that they only serve a limited menu on Sundays and Mondays that is basically: salads, a burger and chicken wings. Very disappointing. If I had know that I would have picked ANY place else in DE. There were maybe a total of 20 people in the venue and service was very slow for everything. Haven't been to a better cafe in a long time; spacious, quiet, classy, clean, architecturally significant; server Michael was a top pro; has all the makings of a boutique hotel that can be BEST IN TEXAS; needs to be the family destination for weekend music acts somewhere in the hotel to draw upon the rich Deep Ellum music history for example The Light Crust Doughboys would be the perfect music act for the class setting and would add needed night life to the hotel or dining experience after 8 pm; Elm Good will be our go to dining from now on; I'm sure Elm Good staff and the Hotel are looking into more parking and validation options
Our server, Michael, was fantastic and did his best to accommodate us. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff appeared to be quite disorganized. We were seated next to the kitchen and could hear their conversations. Michael frequently had to shout at the kitchen because our appetizer took over 25 minutes to arrive. Our main courses came out 45 minutes after we placed our order, which felt quite lengthy to me—perhaps I have unrealistic expectations. However, I must emphasize that Michael was wonderful and even comped the appetizer for us. The food itself was good, but given the prices, I expected it to be served more quickly.
Disappointed in service and food wont go back based on thos exp. Appetizer we ordered was the kolaches and they came out 20 minutes if not more after we ordered them. Our entrees came out right after the appetizer was served. I asked if ther cougive 20 minutes before entrees. They honored my request brought the food out at 1:40. However, my brisket Benedict the poached eggs weren’t runny and the brisket was over cooked so it was clear they just put it under a food lamp or a food box to keep it warm.

CJ is the best server!! We put ourselves in her hands and she brought us the most delicious items on the menu all evening (the menu is mostly tapas-style). It would be hard to pick a favorite dish, everything was so delicious. She also recommended a fantastic bottle of wine. This is our second time at Elm Good, Michael was an amazing server as well. Can't wait to return to this beautiful restaurant with the best service, food and ambiance!
The service was quite slow, and I couldn’t even tell who my waitress was. After us, three other tables were seated, and they were served and had their orders taken before we did. When my son requested another order of bacon, it wasn’t as fresh as the first. I'm not sure if I’ll return.
Went for my 6 year anniversary and ate from their brunch menu. Wonderful service from the entire wait staff, and the food came quickly and impeccable. We had a wonderful experience and will be returning soon!
The place was absolutely empty on a Friday night. The waitress literally forgot to put in our entrees and then the kitchen closed so we never got entrees. The service was terrible!

I have mixed feelings about our visit to Elm Good. The restaurant is lovely and spacious, but the service was inconsistent and the food was just average.
