I had been wanting to try the pizza at Elmwood throughout most of the pandemic. I finally made it on a Wednesday night in early March. I ordered the When in Rome (roasted potato, corn, bacon, red onion, rosemary to be ready at around 5pm. It was ready when I got there and they put it outside on a table by the front door when you tell them you're there. First, the pizzas are 16 which is a lot of pizza! Second, this was delicious! The dough had great flavor and I could taste the fermentation. The pizza was incredibly thin except for the top crust which was very thick but airy with some tunneling (holes. I ordered from Elmwood for the first time today. I have heard so many great things about it and I was excited to try it. I ordered the When in Rome pizza and a slice of yellow cake with chocolate icing. I couldn't wait to get home and have a slice of pizza, it looked delicious but looks are deceiving! The pizza was dry and the crust was burnt and it had a strange taste to it. It was disappointing to say the least. My boyfriend and I made a reservation for dinner tonight and everything was SO GREAT! Our server Hannah was wonderful!! We each had a couple cocktails, and they were all so tasty! We enjoyed the mild wings and the taco pizza and again, so tasty! I have been so impressed with the way elmwood transitioned into a pizza pop-up type restaurant during Covid, and it's so cool to see how successful it has been. As someone who spent a lot of time in the industry myself, I have a ton of respect for the chefs and owners here, and how creative they are!! We can't wait to come back soon and bring some friends! : thanks you elmwood for a wonderful dining experience.

I've only been here when dine in was not available and after they switched to pizzas for COVID. That being said, it is some of the best pizza I've ever had. They also have a very effective takeout system that allows your food to be ready and waiting right at the time you ordered it for. I've only ever had the grilled kale pizza which was to die for. I can't bring myself to try another menu item. All the pizzas do have a perfect char and if being on Yelp hasn't made you hungry enough check out Elmwood's Instagram and you won't be able to resist putting in an order. Reserva una mesa ahora

They are still take out and delivery only, but it is great and easy. We got a pizza (they are huge) and the sweet potato babaganoush. Their breads and doughs can't be beat. Extremely tastey and baked perfectly (both dough and crunchy). The pepperoni pizza was good, but next time will get something more lively like the white pizzas or specialty. The baba was so delicious it was a good indicator that the other sides and more eccentric pizzas will be stunning. Size and style of the pizza borders on NY style pizza (but much better in my opinion).

This Pizza Champ pop up is the best New York style pizza I have had outside of New York. It may be the best pizza in St Louis that I have had. We got a sausage pizza, which comes with red peppers and onions, and we got an cheese pizza with onions and mushroom conserva. The crust was perfectly crisp with the right amount of chew. The sauce was rich and tangy, and the cheese/topping ratio was perfect. I had never heard of mushroom conserva, but it had a great texture and incredible flavor. And I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Glad they opened up again. Currently offering a mix of their pizza champ menu and the old elmwood menu. Service was awesome, and the food was absolutely incredible. Started with oysters, pork skewers, and grilled romain Caesar. All unique and definitely worth ordering again. Also split a burger and pizza. Pizza was fantastic as always, and the burger was easily one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite I've ever had. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic pizza in your favorite flavor and some incredible ones of their own. Try the When in Rome and DO NOT sleep on the Broccoli Caesar as a side. Incredible dishes available for pick up. Super nice posh space. You can watch the chefs in the kitchen. Great food. Innovative. Not boring. But still comforting.
