Elsbethenstübli - Reserva de mesa

We came here as a family several years ago and really enjoyed it. This time there were 11 of us so we booked for 7.30pm on Saturday. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived and the only spare tables were reserved. The atmosphere was lovely and the food delicious. Everyone enjoyed what they had. No one had fondue but this seemed to be a popular choice with other guests. Tram 2 stops right outside so very easy to get to from our hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Based on our experience would suggest you book for a weekend. Not sure how busy they are during the week.

Excellent fondue, excellent wine, excellent service, and cozy atmosphere. We over-ordered the fondue appetizer, the servings are larger than the server indicated, and more came than what we thought we ordered - but it was delicious. Order the Swiss specialties or the du jour selections, they are all excellent. Basel is an expensive town and the restaurants are right in stride with that trend. Try to get in just as their dinner service is launched, the place fills up quickly.

Wir waren mit Freunden im Elsbethenstübli zum Mittagessen. Das Restaurant ist eine kleine harmonische "Beiz"....mit Tradition und aufgestelltem Personal.Das Essen war vorzüglich. Das Cordon-bleu aber auch das Roastbeef waren einfach lecker. Gut abgeschmeckt und das Fleisch von toller Qualität. Wir hatten ein gemütliches, schönes und gutes Mittagessen erleben dürfen. Danke

We came here for the fondue mostly. We ended up splitting an order of that and the veal cordon bleu. Both items were very good. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to offer another item or two in addition to bread to dip into the cheese. Overall, it was great and had good service as well. Reserva una mesa ahora

Typical Swiss Fondue? Here you go. However, take some money and stay in a smaller group. Otherwise it´ll be cosy and expensive. Service was overall very good, too. Wine - as always in Switzerland - high priced. Tasty salats! Try the "Nüssli" as starter.

It was crowded. Best to reserve beforehand. The swiss fondue with alcohol was good but can be stronger. The beef tartar was fantastic

Trato poco agradable. La comida está bien pero muy cara. Te sirven agua sin pedirla y luego te la cobran a precio de un buen vino.
