Else's - Reserva de mesa

Staying in a tiny flat a block or two away, we needed somewhere to flop down and drink a cool glass or two on a windy afternoon. We staggered in here after a long day exploring the city, jet-lagged and weary, and instantly felt at home. The girl behind the bar was awesome, giving us great advice on places to eat and visit nearby, as well as several excellent beers. We ended up coming back several times over the next few days, and found it an excellent place to unwind. Diverse clientele, quirky and cosy decor, splendid drink selection, and charming staff. I posted a review of Else's the first time I visited Montreal, but it was only 4 stars. Now that I have returned SEVERAL times, I just gotta tack on that extra one. This place rules. If you are into local, divey places with colorful locals and super friendly staff, then give it a shot. Every time I visit I find a seat quickly and am greeted with a friendly smile and good conversation. The food is surprisingly good as well. I recommend the polenta and the quesadilla. You can't go wrong here. Good neighborhood, good beer, great food, exceptional staff, and the music is always on point. It's a bar, it's a cafe, it's a pub, and it's a restaurant, too.Else's is a unique place with very friendly staff, an eclectic pub menu with lots of drinking options. Interesting decor and the tables are easily configurable if you are part of a group that all want to sit together.Veg options on the menu is a plus!

What a great place. Although the wine served in the table glasses don't hold that against Else's. I followed the advice of another TA contributor and he was spot on. Great place and a must visit for lunch or dinner or just beers!

I loved the decor in this place, right down to the scary clown images on the table. The drinks are well made. My friends and I shared a quesadilla just to satisfy the food requirement, which the server was completely cool with.

A very interesting little local spot. Food was amazing and the house made hot sauce is to die for(I even brought some back to US with me - thanks to our amazing server). Oh, and the peach bier - the best I've had so far.

Best pulled pork tacos! Lovely place to chill in the afternoon and drink a picture of Sangria. Highly recommend.

But it's still a great place to visit. Great food, nice drinks, friendly service and a quirky interior.
