When I handed him my ID, he questioned its validity and asked for additional identification. That was fine, so I placed the cards on the counter. However, he then told me to "drop the attitude" and insisted that my ID looked nothing like me, even though I have the same widow’s peak in the photo and my hair was tied in the same style.
What really bothered me was his hostile demeanor. He seemed to forget that speaking to paying customers that way is completely unacceptable. My wife and I visit this restaurant quite often, about once a week or every other week. The service is exceptional, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is relaxed with affordable prices. It's a great indication of a good spot when you see a diverse crowd of both older adults and young people enjoying the place together. What more can I say? Definitely give it a try!
We have had delivery twice in one week and were very happy both times !!! Edit: 7/12/22: : finally actually made it there to eat! Was delicious. Drinks were so good!! Sean our server was super nice!! At Elsie Lane, Jeff and Anikin stood out as some of the most respectful and entertaining hosts I’ve ever met. They took great care of us, skillfully balancing fun with exceptional politeness. The menu at Elsie Lane is fantastic, and I’m definitely planning to return with my friends for another great experience!

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch on this surprisingly warm Sunday! The food was excellent, and our bartender Justin was, as always, fantastic and friendly. Best of all, I got to indulge in my favorite wings, the reason we keep coming back. They’re always perfectly crispy and juicy!
Shannon was fantastic! It’s been a long time since we’ve enjoyed craft cocktails this exceptional. Her gin and mezcal creations were absolutely delightful. I highly recommend Elsie Lane—definitely a perfect 10 out of 10! Thank you for making us feel so welcome in New York!
We had a great time here! The burger was awesome and they have a decent tap list. The bartenders are a great group of guys as well. It does get crowded and expect loud music and dancing.

Wish they would offer wings tossed in sauce up front. Apps were awesome (loaded fries and quesadilla specifically)
