The restaurant is in an area plenty of Lebanese restaurants and it looks the best decorated and furnished. The ambience is very chilling and relaxing. I went with a friend and given that few days before I have been in a different Lebanese restaurant where the portions were really enormous, we started ordering a dip, rice and lentils and a vegetarian plate with spinach and rice (all for sharing). Our idea was to check the portions and potentially order more food after. The owner (waiter in that occasion) didn't agree to our "poor" choice and he made us notice that to dine there we were expected to spend at least 30 AUD (our total was probably 27/28). We tried to explain that we wanted to check the size of the portions, but he forced us to order immediately something else.Long story short, we were still hungry after the food we ordered (we added some chicken) but we categorically refused to order more! That's not the way of conducting a business... And for sure that's not the Lebanese hospitality!Just to comment on the food, it was ok but I won't come back!

We went to Emads to eat great Lebanese food after a 40 year gap and were not disappointed. Same location, same great authentic tastes! We had dips and the $22 plate and it was tasty and quite sufficient. We had a bottle of Wolf Blass Red Label Shiraz Cabernet which was reasonably priced and complimented the flavours of the food. We appreciated the quick service as we were going to the Dendy to see "Moonlight" shortly after. The only issue is getting parking in the back streets which is a bit of a nightmare - which is not Emad's fault but be prepared for a bit of a walk!

We'd been looking forward to Lebanese food on our recent trip to Syd. We were bitterly disappointed with our meals and the cleanliness of the restaurant. The place looked, felt and smelt like it hadn't been vacuumed in years. The banquet had enough food for...More
