Food was fair...BAD service from Manager. Never been here before. We ordered 4 steaks and a char grilled vegetables, the steaks were fine, although a bit overcook on the eye-fillet, which we ordered medium. However, side dishes were a bit disappointing. The char grilled veges were over cook which taste bitter.....Paying this price, I would prefer the Norman Hotel as their side dishes are A LOT better. In Embers, they only have either side chips or baked potato (which taste soso), but at Norman Hotel, you get baked potato and salad, which taste good. I did a lot of good at this place, so I thought I would try. I was disappointed that the $40 rib filet was very fat, my son had the same and could only eat half of his. Maybe they had a bad night, but it was one of the worst steaks I've ever had. the lady who worked the floor but was very pleasant. She was just as good at her job, although there was a gentleman who also worked with her, who was one of the most unpleasant people I've ever met and still wasn't sure whether he was the owner or bar employee, but it made the whole experience really weird. Engaged at embers!. My now husband and I got engaged on my bday at embers last November 28th! Didn't make a huge deal just kept it simple and personal and WE knew we had just become engaged I love the prawns for entree one of the rib eyes for main the vegetables on scewers on side and the sticky date pudding for dessert! Please don't change the menu!!!! We are also coming here this Friday 28th nov for my bday again and to relive our engagement but obvious married now (married 01/11/2014) love embers and also love that it's not a very very popular place yum yum!
Recommended by a friend who insists that this is one of the best steak houses in Brisbane. The steaks (rumps and rib eye) were great, cooked just right (medium rare) with fantastic flavours. We also order the stuffed mushrooms and prawns for entree however they were so so.
Although the food was great, I do think that the dishes were overpriced (more than $50 per steak and extra $4 for sauce) and those seeking value more money should look elsewhere. Service could also be improved as it took over 45 minutes for the mains to arrive.

the best steaks in the city, according to my opinion! both the rib fillet and the eye fillet were cooked with little as we had wished and the aromen were delicious. the garnels we ordered for entree were nicely grilled, we just wanted there was more! great service from the wait staff, although there was a quiet night when the restaurant was not full, but we did not notice that. it seems to be a bit hidden gem behind some better known restaurants in park road. we will definitely come back.
we usually go once in the year to embers and it is always 10/10. we went to my birthday last week and the steak was cooked to perfection! make sure they crispy beating as the best steak cup. also the sticky date pudding was the best choice, although I had no idea how I could fit it! you will see us again embers!
Twoz ok , everything was just ok . Ribs where tasty and steak cooked right but no real stand out flavours . Likes the fried onion rings and service was ok. Not in my top five for beef steak places in brisbane.

Loved it. Absolutely loved it. The rib fillet was cooked to perfection. The gravy was divine and the fried onions were crispy with the bowel cleaned dry. Will be back again
