This weekend's Italian dinner found me at Emilio's Trattoria (should I catalog every Italian place in South Florida It's a cozy spot right on Kane Concourse, Bay Harbor's main strip, and next to another pleasant dinner out. I arrived early enough that I was the first diner for the evening and had a corner table, just like a Don.I was in the mood for soup, and had ordered the pasta fagioli my usual but was pleasantly surprised by my waitress' substitution to their soup of the day, carrot puree. It was nicely blended while maintaining richness in flavor and a subtle sweetness. Although we went after a year to miami and our house in surfside is 15 feet away from this beautiful restaurant, we have never been there. carpaccios is closer and despite the effective eating in a parking lot, it is in the rule our local Italian. we decided to go and we loved it, so we went back later in our stay and it was better 2 times. it is a really beautiful family in the possession italy, the art that she went when younger. small, intimate and attentive. we only cost fish and seafood, but all we had was very well prepared, we didn't try their meat dishes, but we'll do this next time. the seafood soup and the seafood risotto were beautiful. they can see that the locals treat this as t...

Excellent food and top notch service. This was my second time dining at the restaurant. I had the special shrimp and linguine and my husband had the chicken Parmesan. Both dishes were excellent! We also had fried calamari as an appetizer and the tiramisu for dessert. Everything was perfection. The staff here, from the hostess to the servers , is professional, attentive and welcoming. They make you feel at home from the moment you walk in.It’s really a hidden gem of a restaurant. we are from nyc, which has some excellent Italian restaurants. everything we had was delicious. the pastas we had, spaghetti vongole and pappardelle w/ porcini and truffle were great. dessert was the tiramisu, which was also really good. the service was attentive and friendly that made it 5 stars to us. we really liked eating here. We have been going to Emilio's for the past 10 years. Every single year for my parents anniversary. From ages 73 to 83 is a big difference. The staff there have always been incredibly kind with my mother who has Alzheimer's. I cannot tell you what delicate sensitivities the staff has shown us. Excellent food, service and ambience!
