Emily's Pancake House

As for the food, I ordered the spicy chicken and waffles. I'm usually not very picky about my meals, but this dish was lacking. The chicken was bland and seemed to be merely coated in flour before frying. The texture indicated that either the oil was old or the frying time was too long, resulting in some inedible charred bits. The only positive aspect was the country gravy. Furthermore, the restaurant’s idea of "spicy" seemed to involve just adding chopped jalapeños, which did little to improve the flavor. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We settled the bill and left a 10% tip, which reflected our overall dissatisfaction.

The prices have risen significantly, and the food no longer justifies the cost. The staff are quite an intriguing group; I overheard plenty of gossip and saw some finger-pointing, and I'm aware of where they receive their bulk deliveries. There are certain things that should not be discussed in front of diners. It's best to keep business conversations and inventory discussions in an office setting. Breakfast at Emily's is consistently delicious! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Today, Delfina went above and beyond, being exceptionally polite and accommodating. Our eggs were cooked to perfection, and the bacon and sausage were excellent as well. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, especially when paired with warm syrup. The coffee is great, too. It was a wonderful way to kick off our Saturday!

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! They serve amazing breakfast, and the portion sizes are HUGE for the price. We paid $146 for eight people on a Sunday morning, and they accommodated us quickly, by the way. There was plenty of food and drinks, and everything was just fantastic!

I had a satisfying meal! It's a lovely little breakfast spot. My plate was a bit too salty, but everything else was fantastic, especially the pancakes.
