The barrier to overcome the not so appealing look from the outside is indeed hard to overcome. The fact that the place is located in semi-basement, doesn't help the cause either. But if you are the curious time, then you definitely should pay therm a visit. I wasn't even expecting this to be breakfast place as it looked like an art gallery to me. The long wall visible from the outside has all kinds of paintings and it actually leads you to believe to be an art gallery. I was looking for a place to have a Donair I found this place on Google thought it would take a drive through the old part of Montreal to see what it was like.. I was greeted with a place that isn't in the basement style atmosphere with a with an indie Club on top called mademoiselle. The young man cooking his name is Mike very friendly man very good cook. I was entertained by a man named Tony who told me all kinds of stories about local stuff and what the area was like. It was truly an amazing experience as I'm visiting here from the Fraser Valley close to Vancouver. This is an awesome place with awesome food that I would highly recommend to anybody it's a very trendy cool part of the town...
Nice spot! I was passing by today after work and decided to walk in and take a look since I've never been! Had a lovely chat with the cook and he made me this delicious cappuccino. I've scrolled their menu and grabbed a small pita to go. Apperantly this place is famous for their Donair, so I went with it. Amazing. The meat is well seasoned and the sweet sauce just makes a good pairing. Will be bringing my sister this weekend for our brunch.
One of the best breakfasts I ever had. The food is fresh, inventive and insanely tasty. I ordered the menu's variation on Eggs Benedict and was astonished at how good it was--a multitude of flavors with eggs of perfect consistency. The staff is super friendly and the space itself is bright, airy and cozy all at once. I cannot say enough good things about En Couleur!:

My favorite omelette in town! By far! I love coming to En Couleur because the customer service is incredible and it is absolutely one of the best breakfasts in town. I always have a great conversation with a server. I often go here by myself and find it totally enjoyable. It's also nice with a friend or a group.
This restaurant is truly outstanding, with delicious and visually appealing dishes. They offer a wide variety of options in a cozy setting with friendly staff.
I have never had a better Donair! The grilled potatoes were delicious too! I am looking forward to returning soon!
Montreal is home to the best crepes and Halifax donairs, as well as a hidden gem for authentic Italian pastas.
