I don't generally order salads at restaurants because I can make fantastic salads at home. But the sun was shining and it sounded so good. I am very glad I did. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the dressing was fantastic. Plus a side of perfectly crispy bread on the side. The ability to sit outside in the sun and people watch is always a perk for me. I have found the service here to be fantastic. They don't bug you every 5 seconds but they also don't ignore you when you need something. Seems they have mastered the ability to anticipate your needs. Will definitely be back before I leave.
We came to this restaurant before exploring museums of Ravensburg city. The restaurant seem local favorites as it packed during lunch time. We order from wine , leber spaetzle , duck with red sauerkraut, cheese spaetzle and vegetarian noodles with champignon sauce. The taste was...ok not so special the cheese spaetzle is too thick and not enough cheese. But the beer and the wine is great as always in Germany
Having eaten in a few places in Ravensburg we returned to Zum Engel. Situated in the centre square it is a lovely old building. The food is traditional Swabian and this time I enjoyed the steak with onions and cheese noodles (cannot remember an cannot...spell the true German spelling). If you do end up in Ravensburg this is a restaurant I would whole heartedly recommend
This place has a charming atmosphere, the service is great and the dishes are very authentic Swabian cuisine. My favorite dish was the cabbage roll and dumpling plate with Swabian noodles. Don't forget to add a glass of wine and enjoy!

Lovely hotel restaurant with a busy atmosphere. Good choice of local foods and beers. Friendly staff without all the fuss. Recommended to us after a friends visit not at all disappointed
nice place in the middle of the city. Good German food, specialties for this area. For a low price. In the summertime a great place to sit outside and watch the crowds.
Traditional food schwaebische specialities. Sat outside very warm, pleasant night. Nice staff. Speedy service and tasty food. Highly recommended
The waiter was nice, the wienese schnitzel was awsome, totally recommend this place. The cordon bleu was great too.
