This is where you go when you want to eat with the locals; Engel has a gentle, slow paced ambience which encourages leisurely dining, good conversation and total relaxation. Situated on the main road through Viertel, the cafe has large picture windows for watching the world pass by, while the old world charm of the fixtures and fittings conjure up a bygone era. We ordered the Engel Fruhstruck (house breakfast) for two, which consists of melon, cheeses, cold cuts of meat, bread rolls, butter, honey, Nutella and jam all served with two glasses of orange juice, as well as a side order of peppermint tea and coffee. Engel WeinCafe is placed on a small Square in Veirtel Bremen. A perfekt place for a glas of wine or brunch or lunch. We had Flammkurchen de best I have ever tried! The kartoffeltortillia looked very good too. We had a nice glas of Riesling and the price was very reasonable. The café had a very good vibe from the lokals visiting. You can sit outside there is a bit of noice from the Trams passing by.

This place had by far the best breakfast in Bremen. Many type of breakfasts and excellent food. English breakfast was excellent. Good vegan breakfast as well. Great service with fluent English.
