we were near where we live in arques. we wanted to eat local food as we had eaten in estaminet au vieux de la vieille in lille and thought it was very different. the estamine in arques was closed on Sunday. eating here looked pretty local and it was open so we thought we would try. a man and woman guide friendly restaurant. the woman was very pregnant with two other children and very busy, but nevertheless very helpful. that was traditional. nouveaux kitchens here, but they tried hard. it was pleasant and eating was delicious and very cheap. it would be good if others supported this restaurant.

we made a meal when we were close. the owners were hard pressed with no other staff. many of the elements on the menu were finished." we thought that more of a local bar than a restaurant. Perhaps it will improve with time.
