This is my second review of the same place. Pastries and bread remained more or less the same. New coffee machines were installed recently. BUT: on the last two visits the place was completely overrun by a group of about 15 young men. They were loud, obnoxious, constantly walking around without masks, lighting cigarettes at the door .. The staff reminded them of mask obligation but were visibly scared to insist on actual mask wearing. Gone are the days of enjoying your coffee and a pastry, now for me this is a no-go zone. And by the look of it I am not the only one with this sentiment. Locals grab their baguette and run. So that's it. Envie de pain is off my list.
There are 2 patisseries in St Louis. Right now the other one is under renovation so for now this place is number one. Situated within a stone's throw of the border with Switzerland at the end of the line of Tram no. 11.Provides a fine selection of freshly baked bread, cakes and savouries. Includes a cafe so you can relax and enjoy the produce without delay. Its popular & the service is individual so be prepared to queue.
ideal location for a coffee in a pleasant tea lounge with a croissant because sandwiches are really to avoid! I took a tuna that had a strong tidal smell, accompanied by three lanterns of translucent tomatoes (from the tomato to January!) with a leaf of fanned lettuce... and especially two unclean pucks of these industrial eggs! (if scaling a real hard egg represents an insurmountable workload, changed occupation)

We spent a few days on Saint-Louis. We enjoyed the breakfasts offered by this bakery: quality bread and pastries, home smoothie, pressed oranges, great choice of teas. the products offered for lunch have not disappointed us! crispy sandwiches, homemade hamburgers, various salads. The flan and cherry pie were also on top!
This bakery has been successful since it started a couple of years ago, but the quality of bread / croissants / brioches / sandwiches has always been bad. I cannot explain their obvious success: their products don't taste good, even when you get & eat...More
I stopped at that bakery on a Sunday because the one I used to go was closed that day. The bread I bought was correct but we're far from the "good bread". Correct quality but no more. damage because this bakery is located just before the Swiss border
This artisan bread shop and cafe is opposite to our hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I always say that any business can be measured by its customers. This shop is always busy.

There are some tables outside this boulangerie/patisserie, which always seemed to be full. The bread and cakes were excellent, but a bit pricey.
Croissants weren't the best I've had in Europe, but they were good. Prices reasonable. Service fast and friendly.
