the restaurant is rather attractive at first sight and the good comments obtained on tripadvisor seem to plead in its favor. the framework and the reception are more attractive. The prices are, however, too high (flat-dessert form at 14.50 euros, glass of wine at 4 euros),. with the kitchen served, correct, but without more, on the basis of a unique menu. Only one person in the room does not provide a very fast service and lunch can easily pull in length. The right addresses are not angoulemia legion and the location of the maurice grocery plays in its favor. However, the rate would be worth seeing down to make it a real good address.
English comment below. Unlike its name, the place also hides an excellent restaurant. The table is generous, the dishes full of flavors. A real mess to discover. It is (very) good and you will spend a pleasant moment without ruining yourself. I highly recommend. Looking for fresh and good french cuisine? Not expensive and full of flavors? Look no further. The place itself is not close to the center, but not too far away from the train station. It is worth going. Everyday is new menu, all fresh, all home made. I totally recommend it.

It will take to taste and appreciate the dishes at their right value...A cook who is there, in front of you cooking...Simply, nicely, .il masters his subject the guy. ...Petit son de maurice l'épicier, il a reprise cette affaire et la fait evolve, accompagnée de sa commune.... I had it, but I haven't tried it yet. I am absolutely not disappointed! real home preparations, cooked under your eyes. The kitchen is open. the modern bistro decor with a small grocery side. everything is gathered to have a pleasant time. especially since the reception is warm and the fast service for a lunch. this noon I tested: cold duck / zucchini and salmon lasagna. An entrance / dish for 14,90 € with pleasant flavors.

We discovered this on a Monday when there are not a lot of options in the region because most restaurants close on Monday, but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes starter, main course and desert as well as the price (less than 18 € . Tomatoes from their own garden, quality drinks and even the offered bread was great. The location is not in the centre of Angouleme but the food is worth the detour!
The welcome is nice, you have to make a little phone call before it's better!The kitchen is like family and fresh products, this day, knowing not to make my choice, the chef proposed to me to compose a plate with the 2 dishes that simmered in front of me, I didn't want to miss his velvet boot and the carrots braised in the other dish... we ate at the counter
