You go to Kayser you pay the brand and supposedly the quality of the bread. When they just opened it was the case and although expensive, it was sometime the little pleasure you could afford for the weekend. But like any franchise, at some point the shop stop receiving the help from the baker of the Kayser HQ and the work from the franchise owner is st germain became sloppy. Too bad, now you just feel being ripped off buying there. Especially if you buy croissant or pain au chocolat. Just go to the boulangerie next door. It is WAY better and WAY cheaper. And if you are willing to spend money for TOP baguette or cake you better go to Gontran Cherrier. It is expensive but the quality is there.
