As you drive through Moscari, you cannot miss the tables and chairs that are set out in the little square under the clock tower, which is what drew us to this little bar/restaurant. There are three seating areas, two on adjacent sides of the clock tower and one in the bar itself. The staff were very friendly and the food tasted great. However, we sat down at about 8pm (we have a 9 year old) and were provided with a menu, which was a bit limited although the prices were very reasonable. At about 9pm whilst munching through our dinner, a tapas board was put up, which had we known was available we would have selected from. Especially having now seen the previous review. This is a new restaurant...
Estábamos alojados en Moscari y pensamos en probar este pequeño Café/Restaurante. No nos decepcionó. ¡Qué amable personal y la señora que lo dirige no pudo hacer lo suficiente por nosotros! El menú estaba todo en español, pero ella nos guió a través de todos los platos y nos hizo sugerencias para los niños. Desafortunadamente, mi hija, que es vegetariana, tenía opciones limitadas (¡no es culpa del restaurante!). La comida estaba realmente deliciosa y tenía un excelente valor. ¡Mi esposo probó las tapas de hígado y lomo de cerdo, ¡sabrosas! Esto cambia diariamente. ¡Altamente recomendado! We had a couple of excellent meals at Es Pou. We gather it's only been open a couple of months but it's obviously a gem. It has a lovely set of tables outside on the cobbles of Moscari (as well as an inside area), and a great menu with freshly cooked food, including a good selection of fish and meat. Both times our food was extremely delicious and the staff very friendly. It's also extremely cheap- for example the set menu last Subday was 11 euros for a big glass of wine, bottled water, a super tasty paella with lobster, crab, squid and prawn and a dessert. We can't recommend it enough
El bar interior es un completo contraste con la zona de patio / terraza exterior junto a la iglesia, que se ve fresca y moderna. El interior es un verdadero local antiguo frecuentado por personas locales. Los propietarios son realmente amigables, el café es excelente y los sándwiches y tapas están muy bien hechos. Sin pretensiones y eso está bien. Buena variedad de tapas. Cierra entre las 2.30 y las 17.30 en agosto, pero no te echan ni te niegan comida si llegas cerca de la hora de cierre. we came here one evening to have a drink before dinner and the drinks were good and the service excellent. We sat and watched to world go by. It is situated beside the most beautiful tiny old chuch so make sure you go in to visit the church. It was one of our favourite villages and at fiesta time is lively. Gorgeous old tramuntana houses and lots of interesting people go by....
We stayed in Moscari for a week and ate at this friendly cafe twice. Mercedes cooked 2 lovely meals for us, squid with pa am oil, prawns and salad and on the second occasion, tuna salad and pork, delicious Mallorcan food. Mercedes is uber welcoming and very kind to tourists. Coffee and hierbas is a great way to end a meal here, highly recommended!
What a great little cafe we had a very nice tapas recommended by Therese and sat outside next to the Church enjoying our meal in the lovely weather. We visited a couple of times for a drink in the evening and were welcomed by Therese and Rashid such a happy family place too. Hope to visit again when we return to the area!
