"Stopped by for lunch. The restaurant has a lovely location with seating on the very picturesque square. The daily menu was interesting E14 for three courses plus a glass of wine. And the food was very good what’s not to like!"

On a Thursday we want to try number 1 of Bisbal (La Cantonada), but it is completely reserved. We pass a simple terrace with a simple looking restaurant on a square. Number 6 of Bisbal and 4.5 balls, so we want to try. A good place outside on a terrace. We are kindly welcomed and given an explanation about the card. 3 dishes, drinks and coffee € 13.50. As a starter, we both opt for the tuna tatin with guacamole and toast. Tasty, but mainly because of the guacamole. The tuna flavor is not much present. As main course we choose the arroz a la casuela and the meatballs with sepia and peas. Both tastes very good. Arroz nicely served wet, well filled and the broth tastes very good. One of the bet...

The guy who served us was alone and although he didn‘t really speak English, he dis his best to give us beer recommendations. It took some time but we got our orders. And although we were very noisy outside as more of pur friends joined us, we were allowed to still stay there. Hanging out there was cool. You experience La Bisbal at its rawest stage.

Right on the square, with a terrace in front of the church. The food tasted very good, I had rice in the pot with seafood and thinly sliced cod, all very flavorful and well prepared. The service is a bit slow but no hurries in a not so hot day during our vacation! Our toddler enjoyed running around the pedestrian area freely while we ate.
