Really enjoyed our visit to this going back in time village. So many interesting things to look at all presented lovingly by a man who has spent his life building the village so professions were not forgotten; It was nice to see all the memories in each shop . It must have taken a lot of hard work and money to create the village. All to be appreciated by an enthusiastic public. There is also a café/restaurant to eat and drink in and a small shop with a variety of interesting gifts. It isn 't overly advertised and could easily be missed but it is well worth a visit if you are in the areal.

Staying at Guines we decided to visit Saint Joseph Village with two six year olds. On arrival, one said this looks boring but in fact she thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon we spent here. A labour of love, the village recreates the past with shops, windmill and even church. The fact that they were in different scales did not matter. It is amazing the amount of work and thought that has gone into this, the vision of one man.

This place was built by a french guy to represent a french Village in the early part of the 20th century. Its very informative It has a cafe and shop at the end so no problems for a snack and a souvenir.
