That was one of the best meals I've had in a very long time. I sat at the chefs counter and was impressed by everything. The kitchen is very well organized and runs smoothly. The food is simple and unique. I like that they have a small menu and can specialize. I had a pork belly amuse and the lamb ragu. The ingredients they used were all smart choices and complimented each dish perfectly. It has the feel of a home cooked meal with the touch and perfection of a professional chef. Greatly disappointing. First time ordering from this restaurant. Ordered 2 takeout dinners of Peri Peri chicken which costed in excess of $80.00. Ranch sauce was good; red sauce too spicy for us. The chicken was burnt, overcooked, dry and tasteless. The potatoes were also overcooked whereas the green beans were almost raw. Enjoyed the pickled celery but overall the meal was a disappointment. The staff was friendly but they told me to come 10 minutes after placing the order but it took almost 30 minutes for it to appear. They did line the paper takeout container with aluminum foil and put the food on the foil, which was nice. Food: 1 Service: 3
Estelle is my partner and my favorite place for a fancy dinner. I am obsessed with just about every single item that comes out of that kitchen. Never misses. All the staff are incredible. The burger is so damn good, and their seasonal salads are always divine. The radiatore and rigatoni are also incredible. We got the fried miatake mushrooms this weekend and I wish I could eat them everyday. This is a beautiful, wonderful and yummy place to go! It's best to order all at once and share. It's tapas style. They have a nice wine menu and chef curated dishes. Favorite spot in St Paul. Staff is incredible, food is perfect and my favorite cocktails ever. Menu is small but curated to perfection. I’ve been to Estelle twice now and it’s absolutely worth the drive! Everything I’ve tried on the menu is so good and the cocktails are unique. I would recommend the mushrooms and the pork belly.
