There, for a noon, we are oriented to take the menu of the day. The menus, more refined, are served visibly only in the evening. In short, we are not driven to consumption. This menu consists of an entry, flat and dessert, each of which is available in three options. So there's a choice. Here we promote local products. The entrance was very correct. We opted for the roasted chicken served with small seasonal vegetables. Everything was simple and really delicious and I'm not talking about the really succulent peach pie. This restaurant is in a hotel on the just off the main road around Mirande, where, I guess, the town's wall once stood. It really isn't much to look at on the outside. It's not chic, it's not trendy. But...we've eaten here several times and...the food really is excellent. Fresh, tasty and adventurous. There's nothing pretentious. Honest cuisine, this is French France, a little old fashioned but totally authentic. Try the Agen prune ice cream. Amazing.

we thought a late morning coffee with the view of lunch. Unfortunately, I might have had the worse cup I've ever had in France. it was annoying, warm and barely two mouthful, which was for a "grand caffe crème". a heavy disappointment. the caffe of my wife was also tasteless and cumsy and made hardly two sips worth. all in all a very bad performance, and without saying that we have not stopped for lunch, and will avoid the place in the future.

Good food in pleasant garden area or A/C interior in traditional style hotel/restaurant. Very helpful, friendly staff and a very good 3 course menu du jour (2 or 3 choices per course) with wine for Euros 15. We were 3 joined by a fourth at dessert time and the waitress was happy to offer just a dessert and coffee, if required. Nice traditional place,

Bravo for the tasting at the Wedding After Work of the Domaine le Castagné. The spoon of beets and cheese. ... exceptional in taste and refinement. Hat, Mr. Maupas!
