I was with friends who hadn’t been before and I was confident they would like it and the menu as there was a good choice of items , and I’ve had good meals in the past. However the host who also served us had a miserable attitude. We were polite and always said please and thank you , He never smiled or showed any sign of empathy or customer service skills. Appalling cutomer service from start to finish. Food passable. Lovely looking venue utterly ruined by the staff. On arrival no smile. In fact it was as though we had brought something in on our shoes. Although booked for three the ledger showed only two. The manager seemed very displeased with us as though this was our fault and that he was doing us a favour by putting us on a tiny table for two even though the restaurant was empty and there were plenty of empty tables for four. Went with a group of friends. Even though I’d phoned to change the online booking from 6 to 8 people and the restaurant was empty they still argued with the first person who arrived that the booking was wrong. No option to chose from a la carte. The set 2 course menu us £30.95 plus service. Meze starter comes without choice, tons of bread and 1 1/2 olives each. House red is £21 and average. Pale ale is over £6 a pint. Service is poor. All bar one main course came out lukewarm or cold. No apology from the waiter just a resigned ‘I’ll tell them’. We very much enjoyed a visit to Ev this evening, with tasty, beautifully cooked food and fragrant fresh mint tea to warm us after a chilly day outside. We called in without a booking and were very well looked after. The staff listened carefully to our dietary needs and were happy to adapt dishes to suit us which we appreciated. Thanks for looking after us and we look forward to visiting again, maybe when it's warm enough to sit in the lovely leafy outdoor area.

Decided to try this restaurant midweek, but despite an email to the restaurant requesting a booking, a reservation request via their website and several unanswered telephone calls directly to the restaurant, they could not be bothered to reply. This speaks volumes about how they treat their customers.
The staff at EV are amazing. My 90 year old cousin fell during our lunch there. The staff could not do enough to help him before the ambulance arrived. They even gave a new lunch to the doctor who came to his aid (because her meal had gone cold). The food is excellent too!
Excellent food, really enjoyed the salmon meze, mousaka delicious and the house wine good. It's a large Restaurent which must be lovely in the summer. A couple coming out as we went in said they would recommend and we would be pleased we were.
The venue is attractive but the food is abysmal. Deep fried stale and tasteless. I had a mexe Each dip was clearly from a large bucket. Nothing h was fresh. Tiny portions of meat.

Awful good had a Meze for 2. Nasty processed bits and pieces. Cold soggy calamari stale cheese borek. The food is not expensive but this is no excuse for poor quality
Food quality is very bed but I can't say anything about service workers they tray to do something for cover food quality.
