Came here for the first time. Portion sizes were a pleasant surprise for the price. Ribs, brisket, sausage, cornbread, collard greens, yams and arnold palmer were all great. They have mild, med, and hot sauce options. Hot was loaded with pepper flakes, and while I enjoy spice, Id go with the medium next time. The meat was drenched with sauce. Im grateful that they didnt skimp but less would still be enough. The sausage didnt have the usual hard outer casing and it also wasnt greasy. Really nice flavor. man, this place has hit all the right points! 1. Our waitress made our whole group feel at home and was excellent. best customer service I've had for a long time. 2. All I tried, I liked. I don't like kartoffel salads, but I'm sure I was here. eating looked so good that I forgot to make a picture. 3. the worth of lunch was great. I'm happy to have rest.
The Pork Rib Dinner was a massive portion! Lots of ribs. I got it withthe Mac and cheese which was nice and cheesy. The yams were way too sweet. Ribs were good texture but the sauce was just alright. Im not sure I would get it again.
amazing bbq! omg! the drinks were lit! the service was great! I went to sleep and woke up and thought of eating. I had the huh and connections with yams, crooked greens, mac and cheese and cornbread! they did not disappoint! 100/100!

return from our camping trip at samuel p taylor, my hubby wants to finish our trip in a great way. go to home .. left n potato salad with mild Bbq sauce .. lunch pkg. what a way to finish our 5 days trip. bathroom. very clean.

Best soul food spot in Oakland! Everything is well seasoned and the portions are definitely worth the price. Been eating here since I was a kid, nothings changed. Amazing food.
Homemade Link Dinner was delicious as always. Lots of sauce. Tender links. Creamy potato salad and good Mac n cheese. Always enjoy their food when I am in the area.

Served us fatty burned meat. Bar b que sauce all in the Mac n cheese. Seemed to have ran out of greens gave us a tablespoon full. It not cool $60 down the drain
