Homemade Granola : Amazing <br/ Smoked Trout Hash : Amazing <br/ The Full Danish : Great <br/ Coffee : Amazing <br/ <br/ Can’t go wrong with a cup of good coffee and Excelsior Jones does it just right. So good in fact, I had to have another cup! The homemade granola was perfectly refreshing with beautifully sweet poached pair and coconut yoghurt. The smoked trout hash (can also be ordered with pork meatballs) was also delicious with loads of potatoes and fish. The full danish was very much like a platter of the good stuff. With eggs, fresh fruit of of course cheese! Lovely, friendly staff as well. Worth another visit.
I dined here on a Saturday morning for brunch. There were a few available tables which was great because usually when I drove past, it was always full. I had the dukkah coated avocado on toast with feta, roasted tomatoes and pomegranate glaze. The avocado was well seasoned with the dukkah and there was enough for both pieces of toast served with it. The tomatoes were flavoursome and had been roasted perfectly. I'm a big cheese fan and there was plenty of it there so I was very happy. I washed it all down with a fresh OJ. The whole meal only set me back $22. Win! Plenty of street parking in this cosy neighbourhood cafe.
The name Exclesior Jones might sound reminiscent of the knights of medieval times but it infact takes its name from the previous names of the streets at the cafe’s junction. This is a light filled corner cafe in Ashfield which is a cool spot that feels eclectic with its grid style mod art on the exterior walls and colourful indoor mural. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor space and it’s great to hear that the cafe does online reservations so can feel confident you won’t need to wait in line for hours.
Beautiful campos coffee served here. The produce used at this cafe is so fresh and the flavors were delicious. The full danish is a platter full of refreshing pickled veges, eggs and smoked trout. The fish did have bones so be careful! The smoked trout bowl was nice and flavorful, but the lack of texture in the dish did make the bowl boring to eat about half way through. The poached pear granola was delicious with refreshing coconut yoghurt.

This is my weekend go to place. Almost every weekend I visit this place and and start my day with the almond milk coffee from Excelsior Jones. I love the coffee and their veggie wrap also I like their almond croissant and Carrot Bread. Must try coffee if you are a coffee lover. Would have loved for it to be a little less heavy on the oil as it did sit a bit heavy in my stomach afterwards but the flavour on both dishes is definitely worth the visit and return
It's been a long time since I had eggs benedict so I had it on Thursday the 14th and I really enjoyed it, I had ordered it with bacon.<br/ <br/ They are really generous with what goes on it and also they serve two instead of one where they might serve eggs benedict somewhere else
I love that this cafe is in my hood. An extensive menu with very good vegetarian and vegan options. We loved everything we tried, especially the hotcakes and the quinoa porridge. I will definitely be going back again! #brunchinsydney #hotcakes #porridge #casualdining

This is my go to weekend place! The best coffee. Amazing food that is reasonably priced with good portions. The flavours and additions to meals are so much better than I could do at home. And the service is so friendly and warm.
